Climbing tours - "Rosengarten Group"

Santner Pass fixed rope route

The loveliest route into the heart of the Rosengarten, framed by craggy walls and towers with wonderful views.

After approx. 2 ½ to 3 hrs. you’ll reach the Santnerhütte, 2,734 m. Return the way you came or on trail no. 542 via the Gartlhütte to the Vajolethütte. Then continue on trail no. 541 and no. 550 via the Tschagerjoch and back to the Rosengartenhütte.

Rotwand fixed rope route

Perfectly secured fixed rope route via the Nordgrat to the Rotwandspitze, the main summit of the southern Rosengarten Group, 2,806 m.

Variant: go down to the Rotwandhütte (secure path) or below the Fensterle tower, continue on the Masarè fixed rope routes and back to the Paolinahütte.

Masarè fixed rope route

This dirt route is joined to the Rotwand fixed rope route in the south and leads from the Rotwandhütte to the Punta Masarè, 2,585 m. From here, go back down to the Rotwandhütte.

Kesselkogel fixed rope route

The Kesselkogel, 3,004 m, is the highest elevation of the Rosengarten Group and is considered to be one of the loveliest viewing points in the Dolomites. The summit of the Kesselkogel can be reached via the western trail or eastern trail.

Via the Scalette Weg to the Passo Lausa (2,720 m)

The Scalette Weg is also known as the Larsec Weg. Larsec is the name of a largely unknown mountain chain to the east of the Rosengarten Group. The trail goes from the Gardeccia Hütte through the Larsec Group to the Antermojahütte, 2,497 m.

“Campanili del Latemar” fixed rope route

Climb up to the Latemarspitze and back down to the saddle (Bivak Rigatti). The fixed rope route starts on the southern side of the Latemar from east to west.

Specification: moderate, stamina necessary (up to 8 hrs.)

Large Roßzahn

After the narrow gorge between the Large Roßzahn and Eastern Roßzahn, you go over rocky steps until you first reach a saddle (lovely view of the Seiseralm) and then follow the Gipfelgrat on the left to the highest point at 2,630 m.

Maximilian trail to the Roterdspitze and crossing the Roßzähne

The varied fixed rope route starts after crossing the Schlern plateau on the western back of the Roterdspitze and ends with the crossing of the Roßzähne (2,653 m).

If no mountain is too high, no climbing wall too steep and no route too difficult for your children, then they’ve come to the right place! With extensive knowledge of the area around the Latemar, the mountain guide will lead your children safely on adventures and offer you helpful tips. He shows the children the best techniques and takes away their fear of heights so that they too can be great climbers.

Bolzano climbing hall – “Salewa Cube”

This climbing hall connects indoors and outdoors. It’s nicer to climb in the shelter of the hall in bad weather or during the cold season and outside in warm weather.

When the sun shines, an entire wall of the hall opens up, enabling both indoor and outdoor climbing. Even on cold days, the Cube is perfect training location with views outside.

Forest high wire garden

The forest high wire garden near the Obereggen valley station consists of several courses with different difficulty levels. After a brief introduction, go up to dizzying heights, up to the treetops with breathtaking panoramic views of the Latemar and the valley. You’ll definitely experience some thrills here!

Whether it’s balancing on wobbly beams, climbing over nets or swinging from tree to tree – in the forest high wire garden you can really let off steam. The high wire garden is very close to our hotel and is thus an ideal location for an unforgettably family adventure.
